Each morning we serve a buffet breakfast including a range of homemade specialties. You can enjoy your breakfast in a charming Renaissance room in the main house, or outside on the terrace, which has stunning Chianti views over the rolling hills, vineyards, and olive groves.

My Coffee Cake

This is the recipe of the cake I use to bake each morning for my guests.
Before I got the best result, I changed the ingredients many times.
In the end I realized half a cup of yogurt and 8 tablespoon of sugar would make the dough really delicious. It’s truly very important to bake it at the right temperature, which is different from oven to oven. I remember my mamma always saying: ‘If you want a good cake, you need to know your oven very well!’ Good advise!

* 2 cups of flour
* Half a cup of yogurt
* 3 eggs
* 8 tablespoons of sugar
* 2 teaspoons of baking powder

  • Blend all ingredients until smooth
  • Grease a cake pan and pour in the mixture.
  • Bake for 35/40 minutes.
